Anna Paquin
Anna Paquin, a Canadian-New Zealander actress. Born in Winnipeg and brought up in Wellington Paquin made her acting debut as Flora McGrath in the romantic drama film The Piano for which she received an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress at age 11 making her the second-youngest winner of the award in Oscar history. Anna Paquin is full Anna Helene Paquin born on the 24th July 1982 Winnipeg Manitoba Canada. Canadian actress from New Zealand who was just a little girl received the Academy Award in 1993 for the most outstanding actor supporting. Paquin was born in Winnipeg Manitoba Canada and made the move in New Zealand as a young toddler. When she answered an open request for auditions her name was picked in the role of Flora McGrath, the daughter of a muted Scottish piano player who relocates into New Zealand in mid-19th-century to marry. At the time, she was nine, and she had no performing experience. When she was in her teens, the actress moved to America. Paquin was played as the title child in Franco Zeffirelli's Jane Eyre in the year 1996. Also, she was the title part on the screen in Fly Away Home, a film released that same year. Paquin did a brief appearance in the TV film of 1997 remake of Carson McCullers novel The Member of the Wedding. In Steven Spielberg's Amistad, she played the Spanish queen with a small part. The actress played teens in the films of Hurlyburly (1998), She's All That (2000), A Walk on the Moon (2000) as well as Polexia Aphrodisa character in Almost Famous (2000).
