As a result of her success she was eligible to compete in the Miss Georgia pageant in June 1985. Mohr also took home the title on Saturday, 22 June 1985. Mohr was crowned winner of the competition, then went on to represent Georgia in the Miss America 1986 competition. Miss America 1986 in Atlantic City in New Jersey in September of 1985. Despite her victory however, she was not in the Top 10 for the title of Miss America national.
