Maria Brink
Maria Brink, born December 18th, 1977, is an American singer-songwriter from the United States. She is most well-known for being the frontwoman of In This Moment. The group released seven studio albums and earned four nominations at the Alternative Press Music Awards. Additionally, Brink was named "Rock Goddess of the Year" as well as "Hottest Chick" in Metal in the fifth (2013) and fifth (2015) Annual Loudwire Music Awards. She was also one of the eleven women from metal who matter to Yell! Revolver Magazine recognized Brink as one of the top 25 Hot Chicks in Hard Rock & Metal in 2012 and Pulse in Albany, New York. When she was 25 years old when she left for Los Angeles to search for the perfect band. She worked in shops, sang in bars and sang in coffee shops. She got to know Chris Howorth, now a part of the group, at an audition in 2004. Howorth initially rejected Brink because she was female. Howorth apologized two weeks later and hired Brink to be the singer. They were formed Dying Star with Jeff Fabb as their drummer. Then, Blake Bunzel and Josh Newell joined the group as guitarists. The group was later renamed In This Moment.
